
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27th in 1976) is a former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. He is regarded as one of the most outstanding tight end players ever, he is the NFL's all-time leader in receiving yards and receptions by a tight-end, while also ranking third overall in receiving. Gonzalez was selected in the 1st round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was part of their first 12-season playing for them. In his final five seasons as a player of the Atlanta Falcons. Since his retirement in 2013 Gonzalez was an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez ended his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the highest number for a tight end and second-most in league history In addition, he was awarded six All-Pros from the first team. Gonzalez was known for his toughness and the ability to not lose a ball. He appeared in 272 games during the regular season and had only two fumbles and a total of 1,327 plays. In 2019 Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
